The New York Jets were defeated by the New England Patriots 25-22 on Sunday, October 23rd in a divisional matchup at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

The New York Jets continue their losing streak at 5 games, with their last victory coming back in September against the Patriots, leaving them with a 2-6 record. The New England Patriots have ended their six game losing streak by defeating their division rivals, leaving them with a 2-6 record.

For the Jets, Quarterback Aaron Rodgers went 17-28 with 233 passing yards and two touchdowns to Tyler Conklin and to Xavier Gipson. Rookie running back Braelon Allen converted 1 touchdown along with 32 rushing yards on the ground.

For the Patriots, Jacoby Brissett came in for rookie quarterback Drake Maye after sustaining a concussion. Brissett went 15-24 with 132 passing yards. Maye provided a rushing touchdown before exiting the game. Rhamondre Stevenson went for 48 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Stevenson provided the touchdown to seal the game for the Patriots.

The Jets will be hosting their next matchup against the 6-2 Houston Texans on a Thursday night primetime Halloween matchup on October 31st.

After being eliminated in game 6 of the NLCS, The New York Mets season has officially come to an end.

In a season that seemed as if it was over from the start after a 0-5 record at the beginning of the season and a 22-33 record at one point, the Mets finished the season with a 89-73 record.

The Mets now have the priority to figure out who they will sign in the offseason as a few of their players on the roster are becoming free agents, and to also seek some stars in the free agent market.

One notable free agent from the Mets lineup is Pete Alonso. Alonso, 4-time all-star, was one of the key players in the postseason for the Mets who hit 4 home runs and 10 RBI’s in 13 games.

Another Mets player entering free agency is Sean Manaea, who was deemed as the Mets Ace pitcher. Manaea, who was 12-6 for the season, had a 3.47 ERA for the season and a total of 184 strikeouts in the season.

The question is now will the Mets be able to keep the magic going after what seemed as a dream season for the franchise.

After a 28-3 defeat to Division rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles, on Sunday, October 20th, 2024, the New York Giants sitting at a record of 2-5 and are 4th in the NFC East.

Head coach Brian Dabol, in his third season, has been struggling to keep the team in contention two seasons removed from their last playoff berth.

The Giants came off a rough off-season that involved the loss of Pro Bowl running back Saquon Barkley after he left to sign with the Philadelphia Eagles.

During their last game, quarterback Daniels Jones was pulled to the bench, and was replaced with Drew Lock. Currently the Giants are facing a tough situation regarding quarterbacks. The current quarterbacks for the Giants are Daniel Jones, Drew Lock, and Tommy Devito.

Drew Lock, a former Denver Bronco and Seattle Seahawk came in for the rest of the game, but could not help the Giants get back in the game. Tommy Devito, who solidified himself as a fan favorite and hometown hero after going on a short little win-streak last year.

The next matchup will have the Giants flying to Acrisure Stadium for a matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers in a primetime game on Monday, October 28th

The New York Jets came into the season with high expectations, especially with the return of Aaron Rodgers and many new acquisitions on the offensive line.

Sitting at a record of 2-5 and third in the AFC East, the Jets have performed under expectations. Newly appointed interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich falls to 0-2, after the firing of head coach Robert Saleh.

The question is now where do the Jets go from here. The Jets had acquired wide-receiver Devante Adams via trade from the Las Vegas Raiders, and is looking to pair with Rodgers again after previously playing together with the Green Bay Packers.

Linebacker Haason Reddick has agreed to a reworked contract with the Jets and is due to return to the team soon. A piece that will provide help to the defense as one of their key players, defensive end Jermaine Johnson is out for the remainder of the season.

The Jets will be flying to Foxborough, Massachusetts on Sunday, October 27th, for their second division matchup against the New England Patriots, after the Jets defeated the Patriots 24-3 in their first matchup on September 19th on Thursday night primetime.
